EC Embryo Donation Considerations brief Background: Embryo Connections is an embryo donation organization. We help families donate embryos to other families struggling to conceive a child. It's a pretty new concept and we're one of a kind - no one else does it like us, but more and more people are learning about it and we're growing rapidly. We work directly with patients as well as clinics. We consider ourselves both in the reproductive medicine and family building space, focusing on both the critical expertise and empathy/compassion for all audiences. Audience: DONORS Families who have gone through IVF to complete their family with surplus embryos in storage, and who are open to the possibility of donating their surplus embryos to another family trying to start their own. They are unsure about their choice to donate and have emotional and practical hesitations, but also a desire to not destroy their embryos, and/or give a gift of children to another suffering through infertility. They tend to be in their 40's, all races, marital status, sexual orientation, etc, with college degrees and financially stable. INTENDED PARENTS Couples or Single adults who are struggling to have children naturally. They are generally childless but many have a child or two. They learn about embryo donation as an option to build their family through online searching/online support groups, and their clinical providers in reproductive medicine sittings. They are also typically also in their 40's, all races, marital status, sexual orientation, etc, with college degrees and financially stable. They want children more than anything and are suffering both emotionally and financially. CLINICIANS/SUPPORTING PROFESSIONALS Physicians, nurses, embryology lab directors, mental health counselors, and attorneys in the Assisted Reproductive space. They are driven to help their patients achieve parenthood. They welcome new ideas as long as they are presented professionally and supported by data. Practices are individual and group, but none are truly marketers, so there is an opportunity to catch attention with something meaningful and eye catching. Objectives: Develop imagery that reflects the both the medical and family building nature of what we do, in a way that is eye catching, artistic, unique, and touches on heart strings. Our tagline is “Bring More Love into the World” … for all families. The core idea is that BABIES, CHILDREN, FAMIILIES, and CONNECTED FAMILIES are created from the gift of EMBRYOS. Somehow we want imagery that says ALL of that, ideally without excluding races, different family dynamics, etc. We want to use the imagery on the front cover inside panels of our brochure (see attached), on our website, signage and more, if it’s compelling!! We would like some images to be able to stand alone, and others to have backgrounds (eg for use on the front of our brochure, or on a booth design.) To start, we’d love to replace the stock imagery on the attached brochure. Mandatory/Considerations: 1. Worth noting our color palette attached. Do NOT use directly on the images, except to support connecting to the brand. Anticipate that the logo will go on top of, or near these designs, so they need to complement on another. 2. Images – If using people, they should be newborns, babies (3mo – 1 yr), toddlers, and/or children 3 – 8 yrs old, Ideally race-neutral or a mix of races. Please use what feels right to you creatively. 3. Ideally the design is soft/flowing (ie. Not hot pink or black!), to suggest that Embryo Connections puts our clients at ease. 4. To differentiate from other assisted reproduction offerings, please leverage stylized EMBRYOS AND ideally babies/ children/love – to show the end state Tone: Loving, empathetic, clean, inclusive, Professional, trustworthy Notes: I've attached other layouts that I've made in Canva, and website: www.embryoconnections.org (I also designed that) so that you can just see other creative guidance for this brand, but I designed it, not a creative.
