So we use AI in order to create this visibility and understanding of data at scale,” explained Yotam Segev, Co-Founder and CEO of cybersecurity unicorn Cyera. “If you think about it, take a 50-page document, stick it into ChatGPT, and ask it what the document is about. It's going to do a pretty good job. The problem is that the cost of that doesn't scale. If you try to do that to every document that the Fortune 500 company has, it's going to cost you a few $100 million. So we have to find ways to leverage AI more efficiently, and the usage of AI to the specific use cases that the companies are trying to solve.” In the case of Cyera, it is for protecting the data from bad actors. According to the company, data “is the fastest growing enterprise attack surface and is projected to surpass 181 Zettabytes in 2025.” It tells companies what data they have, where it's stored, who or what can access it, and which data risks exist. “We're talking about the most transformative technology our generation has seen,” Segev continued. “And we're very proud of our place in it. You watch all of those sci-fi movies about the world getting taken over by AI, and you ask yourself, ‘OK, how do these things actually happen?’ And when you live in the enterprise market, you see that the drive to succeed in business sometimes outweighs all other concerns.
