Design the Mascot for the Beijing Taco Festival

A mascot for our first-ever Taco Festival. The event attracts over 10,000 people to an event that has dozens of food stalls that will feature primarily tacos but also other Mexican foods and also fusion foods. The design should be able to be reproduced in 3-D as a plastic or plush toy and as a functional costume that can be worn by someone while walking around. It also needs to be rendered well in 2-D. It has to have dual appeal to adults and children. Mexican themes and styles appreciated but please avoid cliches and stereotypes. the character can be: -- a human (a person with an outfit), -- an animal, such Yellow Weasel (also known as a Siberian weasel, but the local version is more yellow).
