Ce premier robot superhumanoïde au monde de Dexterity, une entreprise américaine, a été conçu pour le travail industriel et renforcé par l’IA. Mech se déplace dans les entrepôts et sites industriels grâce à ses deux bras montés sur un rover. Ainsi, il peut accomplir avec fluidité des tâches répétitives et exigeantes. Néanmoins, Dexterity envisage d’élargir les applications de Mech et d’intégrer des applications logicielles supplémentaires en 2025 pour enrichir ses capacités. Il est aussi capable de prendre en charge la manipulation délicate de colis fragiles grâce à un sens du toucher intégré. Mech est équipé de seize caméras embarquées qui lui permettent d’analyser son environnement. Ces caméras l’aident également à identifier les objets et à choisir la meilleure stratégie de rangement. Le robot est également capable de supporter des températures extrêmes, allant de 0 °C à 50 °C. Ce robot se révèle être ainsi une aide incontournable pour booster la productivité. Selon Dexterity, un opérateur peut superviser et gérer jusqu’à 10 Mechs simultanément. Cela permet de réduire ainsi considérablement le risque de blessures lors de tâches répétitives et physiquement exigeantes.
