We mined Swiss Re’s investments and partnerships to discern the company’s strategic priorities.
Swiss Re is one of the world’s largest reinsurers, with gross premiums written reaching almost $50B in 2022. The company is structured into three businesses: property & casualty reinsurance, life & health reinsurance, and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (its smaller commercial insurance business).
Across these businesses, the company leans heavily into what it calls “risk partnerships” to help it create new products and improve its understanding of evolving spaces — such as its collaboration with Microsoft for connected vehicle-related risks.
