Wednesday, August 28th, 2024 Two temporary nurse staffing agencies have settled allegations of charging long-term care facilities above the maximum rates allowed by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services. Under the settlement, Quincy, Mass.-based Intelycare will pay more than $500,000 and Waltham, Mass.-based connectRN will pay more than $100,000 in restitution and penalties, according to an Aug. 27 news release from the state attorney general's office. The money will go to the Long-Term Care Facility Quality Improvement Fund, which was created to improve the quality of care at facilities. The companies have also agreed to update their software and practices to ensure compliance with EOHHS regulations.
