Apr 9, 2025

UK firms will combine technologies to solve problem of hundreds of thousands of patients being unable to see a GP in person Share: A London-based leading digital healthcare provider has partnered with global healthcare Al company Huma to address the growing unsatisfied demand for accessing GP appointments. Doctor Care Anywhere (DCA) works with insurers, healthcare providers and corporate customers to connect patients to a range of telehealth services on its platform and will now work with Huma to support the NHS. Huma’s myGP app, with 3m users, is the UK’s largest independent NHS GP booking and healthcare management platform. This collaboration will aim to enable patients who are unable to book an NHS GP appointment to seamlessly book a video consultation 24/7 with a private clinician from DCA. The service is expected to go live in summer 2025, with further enhancements planned for the future. “At Huma we believe in supporting patients in living their best lives through digital solutions,” said Dr Murray Ellender, head of UK healthcare at Huma. “myGP gives patients control, choice and access to healthcare services when they need them most.
