(Photo: Tomariko - Live Focus) “I joined Pendo four years ago to establish the machine learning and data science department. I think since then, we had the AI boom and everybody's doing it: all engineers and all companies are doing it,” said Inbal Budowski-Tal, Senior Director of Machine Learning at Pendo.io. “My view is that we will see a lot of mid-sized companies, mid-market, evaporate in 2 or 3 years.” Pendo is a customer experience platform that allows companies to understand how their customers are using the app and to direct them to where they want them to go. “The reason is that it's very hard to push innovation in,” she continued. “It's hard to push innovation because those companies are where they are thanks to their amazing execution.
