Timeless merch design to stand out to Millenial & Gen-X subscribers

We are looking for classic and timeless yet stand-out designs that can applied to shirts, hoodies, and hats. We are open to colors that are compatible with our brand colors, but don't love greens. We'd like to avoid designs with too many colors as we are a small team and know color-rich designs can be costly to print. We'd like to keep things focused on the lettering and less on images.

We'd like to have some simple apparel pieces - unisex shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, etc. - to offer to our subscribers, mailing list members, employees, and clients. Our subscriber and client demographic is mainly Gen X-ers and older Millenial women who are highly educated and in the development/management/HR field or in the C-Suite of their company, so we want to keep the designs classic, but also stand out from other boring merch designs we've seen in the past.
