The collaboration will enable GCash to support recurring payments for the first time that will enhance digital payment solutions for nationwide businesses. Ezypay’s membership in the Australia-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (ANZCHAM) plays a pivotal role in fostering strong economic ties between Australia and the Philippines. The chamber facilitates such partnerships by providing a platform for networking and collaboration among businesses in both countries. Amb. HK Yu PSM, FCPA said Australia is helping advance fintech in the Philippines through strategic partnerships: “[Our] robust fintech ecosystem fosters innovation and collaboration, enabling Australian firms like Ezypay to develop solutions that support financial inclusion and economic growth.” According to the embassy, the partnership builds on the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between FinTech Alliance.ph and Austrade in November 2023. It aims to enhance fintech policy and regulation, promote knowledge sharing, improve access to capital opportunities, and address market barriers. The embassy anticipates that the collaboration between both countries will focus on leveraging the MOU to drive digital transformation and financial inclusion across the region. It will continue working with organizations like ANZCHAM to foster synergies and innovation. By sharing expertise and resources, both countries aim to create a more connected and prosperous future. The Australian government encourages fintech companies and stakeholders from both nations to “seize this moment to innovate and transform the financial landscape, paving the way for a brighter, more inclusive economic future for all.”
