En este contexto, las startups recurren al programa de visas H-1B para atraer inmigrantes con talento calificado y cubrir puestos especializados, en especial en el sector vinculado a la inteligencia artificial. Las startups tecnológicas lideran la contratación de migrantes De acuerdo a Business Insider , que analizó datos del Departamento de Trabajo (DOL, por sus siglas en inglés) y del Servicio de Ciudadanía e Inmigración (Uscis, por sus siglas en inglés) entre las empresas con más peticiones de visas aprobadas están ByteDance y TikTok, con 997 y 614 solicitudes certificadas, respectivamente.
